Providing a range of counselling theories to work with clients,
these include CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy),
Mindfulness, as well as a person-centred approach.
Qualified since 2017 in a range of counselling theories, I offer a talking therapy service to meet your needs. Face to face sessions at my home which is, just 10 mins from Oswestry, 20 mins from Welshpool & 30 mins from Shrewsbury & Wrexham. However, if you live further away I do offer telephone sessions and virtual sessions via Zoom. Whilst being close to major towns, I am located in a countryside setting which is beautiful, peaceful and therapeutic in its own right.
Providing a comfortable, quiet & peaceful space to enable the exploration of feelings, & emotions.
I offer clients the unique opportunity to talk about how they are feeling without judgement and in the strictest confidence. Offering short & long-term therapy depending upon presentation circumstances and client needs.
I have a therapy room at home and during the better weather offer outside counselling in my garden, which has lovely views of part of the Tanat Valley. My belief being that nature can be part of the therapeutic process, as grounding can make us feel safe in our environment. My aim is to provide a comfortable, safe space for clients to be able to talk through and explore their feelings and emotions. My role is to facilitate the counselling, and therapeutic process, not to provide advice and answers.
Prior to becoming a counsellor I have always worked in supporting people roles, from an early career in social housing & homelessness, coaching employability & barriers to returning to employment and supporting young people, post-secondary education with confidence, self-esteem, guidance, setting goals and career planning. It was my work in these areas that led me to train to become a counsellor. I completed 6 years of training to achieve a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Level 5 CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) & Level 6 Counselling Supervision. I have also completed a range of qualifications to widen my knowledge and work with a wider range of clients. These include:

You have already taken the first steps by looking into therapy, so maybe you have identified an issue or area of life that you would like to talk about, change how you feel or think about this. Not sure if therapy is for you, I offer a free 20-minute discussion to allow us to discuss what your needs are and if you feel that you would like to work with me. Therapy is based upon the professional relationship with the counsellor and yourself, giving you opportunity to discuss without judgement or bias, facilitating you to find your own answers that are right for you. It is an equal relationship, where the client is the expert on themselves. I have often been referred to as “a space pair of hands” you will be safe & able to tell me what you feel & want to share. You will be listened to with kindness, compassion & care.
